Travel to East Java

East Java is a province in the eastern part of Java Island, Indonesia. Surabaya is the capital. Area 47,922 km , and population 37,070,731 people (2005). East Java is the largest province are among the 6 provinces in Java Island, and has the second highest number of people in Indonesia after West Java. East Java is bordered by Java Sea to the north, the east of Bali, in the southern Indian Ocean, and Central Java Province in the west. East Java also includes the island of Madura, Bawean, Kangean Island and a number of small islands in the Java Sea and Indian Ocean (Island Sempu and Nusabarung).
East Java has a number of interesting sights. One of the tourist icon East Java is Mount Bromo, inhabited by Tengger tribe, where the KASADA festival is held each year . The mountains of Malang and Batu, known as a natural tourism area there is lots of health, such as the 'Peak' in West Java. Similarly, the mountains in Pasuruan, Mojokerto, as Prigen, Tretes, and Trawas. Other nature tourism in East Java, is a National Park (4 of 12 National Park in Java), in the City Purwodadi, Pasuruan, and Taman Safari Indonesia II in Prigen.
East Java, there are historical in the classical era. Site Trowulan in Mojokerto regency, was the center of Majapahit kingdom, there are dozens of temples and tombs of kings of Majapahit. Other temples spread in almost all areas in East Java, including upgrading temple in Blitar. In Madura, the kingdom is the central Sumenep of Madura, where there is a palace, museum, and the kings Madura.

East Java has known panorama of the beach is very beautiful. On the south coast there are beach Prigi, Pelang, and Pasir Putih Beach in Trenggalek, Popoh Beach in Tulungagung, Ngliyep beach in Malang, and the Watu Ulo Beach in Jember. On the north coast there is Tanjung Kodok Beach in Lamongan District, Kenjeran Beach in Surabaya, and Pasir Putih Beach in Situbondo. Lake in East Java, among others, in the Telaga Sarangan Magetan, Sutami Dam in Blitar and Selorejo Dam in Malang

Religion travel become mainstay traveling in East Java . Five of nine Walisongo is tomb in East Java: Sunan Ampel in Surabaya, and Giri Sunan Maulana Malik Ibrahim in Gresik, Sunan Drajat in Paciran (Lamongan), and Sunan Bonang in Tuban. In the coastal north area of this there are also caves interesting: Maharani Cave in Lamongan and Gua Akbar in Tuban. Soekarnos grave, the heroes of Indonesia in the Blitar city.
Surabaya is the center of government and business center of East Java, where the Tugu Pahlawan, mpu Tantular Museum, Convention & Exhibition Center, Marine Monument, Ampel Denta, Tunjungan and Kya-Kya.
